Builder Stocks Jump In Hot Week For Housing News

Builder stocks rallied broadly Monday ahead of a week full of housing data reports, as still-lagging homebuilder sentiment inched up to a five-year high. Hovnanian Enterprises (HOV) led with a 9.6% gain in afternoon trading. D.R. Horton (DHI) followed, up 4.1%. Standard Pacific (SPF), M/I Homes (MHO), M.D.C. Holdings (MDC) and KB Home (KBH) all were trading more than 3% higher than Friday's closing price. The Ryland Group (RYL), Lennar Corp.
