Chicago, Mar 1, 2019 (Issuewire.com) - Jeffery M. Leving was victorious in Court, winning a difficult case for an elderly gentleman after he was almost thrown in jail for failure to pay millions of dollars in alimony he didnt owe.
Years ago, before he retained Leving, this gentleman divorced. During the divorce proceedings, the court erroneously ordered him to pay an exorbitant amount of alimony to his ex-wife.
Before and after the divorce, he was the sole financial support for his ex-wife. She reportedly refused to work, made no efforts to obtain employment, and contributed nothing for the financial support of her extravagant lifestyle.
Years later, the ex-wife took him to Court and reportedly claimed that he owed her millions in alimony. He was represented by a different law firm in Court at that time, and he walked out of Court devastated, with an Order to pay his ex-wife millions of dollars in alimony he did not have.
Because he did not have millions to pay his ex-wife, he was at risk of losing his liberty. He finally turned to Dads Rights Attorney Leving for help.
Leving argued to the Judge that the amount his client was ordered to pay was exorbitant and that he had no ability to pay it. Incarcerating this man, Leving argued, would be an unjust result, would serve no purpose since he could not work while in jail, and could even result in his death in jail. Leving won the case.
Without the help of Leving, his client was headed for jail. Now, he is no longer in fear of losing his liberty, and possibly his life.
