Bloomberg News - (Bloomberg) - Madison Square Garden Co. and Time Warner Cable Inc. reached a verbal agreement on a new contract, ending a seven-week stalemate that’s kept the operator’s 2.8 million local subscribers from watching the New York Knicks and their Jeremy Lin-led winning streak, a person familiar with the situation said. The person was granted anonymity because the agreement isn’t done. Gov. Andrew Cuomo will announce the deal Friday afternoon, according to a report in The New York Times . An MSG spokesman declined to comment in an email. Alex Dudley, a spokesman for Time Warner Cable, didn’t immediately return a call seeking comment. Lawyers for both MSG and Time Warner are working to complete the agreement in time for tonight’s game against New Orleans, the person said.
