Karen serves as an IT Project Manager with the Hawaii Medical Service Association (HMSA), which is an independent licensee of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, and one of the largest and most experienced providers of healthcare coverage in the state of Hawaii. HMSA is dedicated to providing quality, affordable health plans; employee benefit services; and worksite wellness programs. The organization also offers a variety of programs, services and support to help improve the health and well-being of their members and community.

During her collegiate career, Karen earned a Master of Business Administration degree in Project Management and Organizational Development from American Intercontinental University. She is an expert in all aspects of information technology who is also qualified as an ISO 9001 Lead Auditor.
