PRLog - Sep. 3, 2014 - Generis is pleased to announce its nomination for 7 awards at the 2014 Document Manager Awards (www.dmawards.com). Generis has also been featured in an article in Forbes Magazine by Kurt Marko (read it here).  The article highlights the approach Generis has taken with product development.

This comes at an exciting time for Generis in terms of new customer wins in a variety of industries for its CARA product (user interface and configuration toolsuite for Documentum, Alfresco and Oracle WebCenter).

The Document Manager award nominations are for the following categories:

- CARA - Product of the Year

- CARA - SME CMS Product of the Year

- CARA - Software Product of the Year

- CARA - Workflow/BPM Product of the Year

- CARA - Compliance Product of the Year

- CARA - Enterprise CMS Product of the Year

- Generis - Service/Support Company of the Year

"We are delighted that our customers and partners have taken the time to nominate us for these awards", said James Kelleher, CEO of Generis.  "It is a validation of the hard work the whole team has put into developing and supporting our products, and the close relationship we are fortunate to have with our customer base and our partner community."

CARA is a fast, easy to use web user interface and business rules (configuration) engine for Documentum, Oracle WebCenter and Alfresco. It is designed to facilitate the creation, review, approval and management of documents. In additional to all the standard repository functionality of each platform, CARA provides performance enhancements, many additional functions and ergonomic improvements. The focus of CARA is on making it easy for users to find their content, work on it, and ensure that the system does not get in the way of them performing their job.  With unique features like Dimensions, SnapLists, Widgets and Dashboards, a lot of information is on hand with a single click, and using the CARA Hub companies can connect to and integrate with other systems, allowing CARA to be the user interface to a variety of information sources at the back end.

Generis has just released version 3.6 of CARA, with over 90 enhancements and new features, including additional mobile application functionality.  CARA is used by customers in industries including Life Sciences, Government, Finance, Insurance, Media, Energy and Manufacturing, with both industry-specific use cases (eTMF, Transmittals, QA, submissions and so on) as well as cross-industry use cases (e.g. Human Resources, Legal, Sales and Marketing). Details on the new version can be seen here.  Visit our website.
