ALPFA Congratulates Meg Whitman for Creating the Most Diverse Technology Company Board of Directors

ALPFA, the Association of Latino Professionals For America, the largest membership-based organization serving Latino professionals, students, and entrepreneurs, congratulates HP Inc. (NYSE: HPQ) on its appointment of Aida Alvarez to the HP Inc. Board of Directors. Alvarez is a renowned Latino leader, who previously served as administrator of the Small Business Administration and currently serves on the board of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (NYSE: WMT).

ALPFA’s Chief Executive Officer, Charlie Garcia, collaborated with CEO Meg Whitman and other HP executives, including Chief Human Resource officers Tracy Keogh and Alan May, to help identify a talented pool of prospective Latino board members.

Mr. Garcia, a former Fortune 500 board member, said: “Meg showed the world how easy it is for a technology company, which actually cares about diversity, to form a high performing, diverse board of directors.
