Barnes & Noble Education and Jones & Bartlett Learning Announce Inclusive Access Agreement

Barnes & Noble Education, Inc. (NYSE: BNED), a leading provider of educational products and services solutions for higher education and K-12 institutions, today announced a new agreement with Jones & Bartlett Learning, a world-leading provider of instructional, assessment, and learning-performance management solutions for the secondary, post-secondary, and professional markets. Through this agreement, eBooks from Jones & Bartlett Learning will be made available through inclusive access models offered on campuses served by BNED nationwide through its Barnes & Noble College and MBS subsidiaries.

“We are pleased to work with Jones & Bartlett Learning to expand the library of high-quality digital materials available through inclusive access programs on campuses nationwide,” said Ann Fraley, Vice President, Campus Solutions, Barnes & Noble College. “Inclusive access continues to drive success for college and university students, and we are committed to ensuring faculty members have a wide breadth of digital options to choose from when implementing inclusive access models in their courses.”

Inclusive access models, including BNC FirstDay™, ensure students have the materials they need at the start of the semester, allowing faculty members to begin instruction on day one. These models offer course materials at reduced prices through a course materials charge for participating programs. Students have the option to receive their materials on or before the first day of class, delivered seamlessly through their learning management system.

“Providing students and institutions with choice and affordable options in quality course material is always our goal,” said Ed Moura, President, Jones & Bartlett Learning. “We are excited to work with Barnes & Noble Education to expand our offering with the First Day inclusive access model.”
