Sprint Receives Domestic Wholesale Best in Class Awards and Global Wholesale Carrier Excellence Awards from ATLANTIC-ACM

Today, Sprint (NYSE:S) received ATLANTIC-ACM 2008 Domestic Wholesale Best in Class awards in the categories of Provisioning and Customer Service (tied with another carrier in this category). The awards mark Sprints leadership in meeting the needs of U.S.-based wholesale partners, particularly in meeting the contracted date of installation (provisioning) and strong operations support, professionalism, expertise and ability to solve problems in a timely manner (customer service).

Sprint also recently received two ATLANTIC-ACM 2008 Global Wholesale Carrier Excellence Awards, receiving first place in the Brand and Data Product Quality categories, recognizing Sprints leadership in working with regional and global carriers and integrator partners to help address the growing demand for MPLS VPN capabilities across the world.

Were honored to receive these important industry recognitions, which demonstrate that our customers appreciate Sprints leadership and differentiating capabilities to serve the wholesale marketplace, said Dan Dooley, vice president of international and wholesale markets, Sprint. Our partners enjoy the flexibility and full range of services offered by Sprint to help extend their footprint to regions of the U.S. and world beyond their current reach to meet the data requirements of U.S.-based and multi-national corporations.

ATLANTIC-ACM, a leading telecommunications research consultancy, presented the Domestic Wholesale Best in Class Awards today, Feb. 25, at the COMPTEL PLUS 2008 Convention and Expo in Nashville, Tenn. The awards are based on carrier evaluations by hundreds of wholesale service providers.

The 2008 ATLANTIC-ACM Global Wholesale Carrier Excellence Awards were announced during the 30th annual Pacific Telecommunications Council (PTC) conference in Honolulu, Hawaii, last month. Stemming from research begun in 1995 which has become a critical benchmarking survey in the competitive long-distance industry, the 2008 edition of ATLANTIC-ACMs Global Wholesale Carrier Report Card awards are based on evaluations by hundreds of wholesale customers.

Both of these annual surveys ask carrier reseller customers to rank approximately 15 service providers in categories including brand, sales reps, provisioning, network performance, customer service, billing and numerous product quality and price categories.

Sprint has received a variety of ATLANTIC-ACM awards for several years and last year won first place recognition in the billing, network performance and voice product quality categories for the 2007 Wholesale U.S. Long Haul Carrier Report Card.

With more than 15 years of experience in the wholesale business, Sprint delivers a broad range of wireline and wireless solutions that enable the extension of the wholesale customers workplace and help employees work more productively, efficiently and cost effectively.

Sprint Global IP/MPLS VPN is available in 137 countries today and continues global expansion of its MPLS platform. In the last two years Sprint has doubled capacity in Europe, increased trans-Atlantic capacity, improved Asia connectivity and expanded the network in Eastern Europe, India and the Americas. Sprint plans to continue to increase capacity of IP/MPLS services to support the business requirements of its customers globally.
