Picis Appoints Samuel H. Adams as Senior Vice President of Sales

Picis today announced that Samuel H. Adams has been appointed senior vice president of sales for North America. In this role, Adams will be responsible for leading the company and its sales team and operations toward continued rapid growth in the high-acuity care information and revenue management market in North America. Simultaneously, Picis announced that Liz Popovich, co-founder of the company, has assumed the position of executive vice president of international operations, providing strategic and executive leadership of sales and operations outside of North America as the company rapidly expands its international presence.

Adams has more than 22 years experience in the healthcare software and technology industries, previously serving as president and CEO of St. Croix Systems, a healthcare asset management software organization focused on cost improvements in healthcare. Prior to that, he served as senior vice president and general manager of Lawson Software, Inc., where he led teams in multiple markets, including government, education, emerging markets and financial services. He also held the position of vice president of healthcare for Lawson, the organization’s largest vertical practice, where he was responsible for sales and business development.
