He says that the equity markets have begun to give back some of their recent gains. On Friday, the S&P closed 5% lower than where it began the week, although it recaptured a part of that loss on Monday’s trading. He makes a point that unless we see strong economic data, it is hard to justify the renewal of a bull market.
