The former first lady will share her experience on education, environmental advocacy and collaboration with oil and gas.

Education was the primary focus of Bush’s tenure as first lady. She has supported numerous government and private sector efforts to promote reading and education. In addition, she has a strong appreciation for the oil and gas industry and the beauty of the natural world. Over the years, Bush has founded numerous nonprofit organizations, including Taking Care of Texas, which works with a collaborative group of oil and gas companies, landowners and wildlife experts to educate people on caring for land and wildlife.

Since 2007, NAPE has raised more than $3 million to support American veterans through the annual NAPE Charities Luncheon. The following veterans’ charities will be presented at the February 12th luncheon: Impact a Hero, Canine Companions for Independence, Operation Comfort and Support a Soldier.
