EVA earned AirlineRatings.com's top seven-star rating by demonstrating excellence in its safety record and standards and its in-flight product, passenger options, value for price, financial results, management and customer service, all driven by the airline’s innovation. Passenger feedback on a 10-star scale in a separate area of the site is also considered in AirlineRatings.com’s awards of excellence if there are significant numbers of positive or negative posts. The editors subjected each airline to a rigorous four-month analysis.

“EVA Air is the quiet achiever and trendsetter and was one of the first airlines to introduce premium economy class. From its inception in the late 1980s, the airline has focused on delivering passengers a host of travel options. This has resulted in EVA dominating the region and made it a standout,” said AirlineRatings.com Editor-in-Chief Geoffrey Thomas.

In 2013, AirlineRatings.com ranked Taiwan-based EVA Air among the world’s 10 safest airlines.

“Gaining recognition from airline industry experts who are as knowledgeable and respected as the AirlineRatings.com team is gratifying,” said EVA Air Chairman K.W. Chang. “These honors assure us that our efforts to become the world’s best airline are headed in the right direction.”

The core group of editors created AirlineRatings.com to celebrate and promote excellence in the airline industry, using a unique seven-star safety and product rating system. The site enhances the quality of information available to the travelling public and has attracted more than 3 million visitors from 232 countries to view 12 million pages. The Excellence Awards are the pinnacle of the website’s efforts. The site’s safety rating system has been endorsed by the International Civil Aviation Organization.

EVA has a perfect safety record and operates comfortable, fuel-efficient Boeing 777-300ERs on long-haul flights to Europe and North America. Its routing within Asia is among the best in the airline industry. From gateways in Europe, Oceania and North America, including Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto and Vancouver, passengers can make one stop in Taipei and connect onward to almost every major business and leisure destination in Asia. Travelers can book and reserve seats through travel agents and brokers, by calling an EVA ticket office or via the airline’s website at www.evaair.com.
