AirStrip®, the leading provider of interoperable mobile healthcare applications that drive clinical transformation, is participating as a partner in the 9th Annual National Health IT (NHIT) Week that starts today.
NHIT Week brings together hundreds of healthcare constituents to highlight the ways that information technology improves both patient safety and the overall quality of care, reflecting the NHIT Week theme of “One Voice, One Vision: Transforming Health and Care.” Specifically, AirStrip CEO Alan Portela is stressing the need to enforce interoperability standards.
“Information technology must be interoperable and mobile to support the best possible patient outcomes and help solve the fiscal and regulatory pressures in healthcare, but payers and healthcare providers need to push vendors for true openness and neutrality,” Portela said. “When combining true interoperability with agnostic mobility tools and big-data analytics that enable clinical decision support, together we can have a transformative impact on population health management.”
In addition to NHIT Week, AirStrip will highlight the impact of clinical mobility at a number of upcoming events:
- Health 2.0 Fall Conference, September 21-24, Santa Clara, CA – Alan Portela will headline a deep dive session on Wednesday, September 24 to discuss development of early warning system technology that offers the potential to improve patient outcomes.
- Connected Healthcare 2014, October 14-15, San Diego, CA – Portela will participate in a panel discussion on Tuesday, October 14 entitled “Designing Technology for the Right End User.” Portela’s fellow panelists include Dr. Sanjeev Bhavnani, Cardiologist, Wireless Health & Digital Medicine with Scripps Health. Scripps and AirStrip recently announced the launch of a pilot study of AirStrip ONE®, which securely delivers data from multiple hospital-based patient monitoring systems to mobile devices used by physicians both within and outside the hospital.
- American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) Scientific Assembly, October 27-30, Chicago, IL – AirStrip will participate in innovatED – an interactive, educational space at ACEP14 to present innovations in emergency medical care.
