Amazing.com Releases Inspirational Amazon Seller Story of Single Dad with a Passion for Helping People Just as Amazon Announces Charitable Donation of Free Ebooks to Libraries in Africa

Amazing.com recently published an Amazon Seller success story from Eric Toohey. Eric went from a single dad, fed up with his job in construction to a successful Amazon business owner with time to dedicate to his favorite charities. Just three weeks into the launch of his first product, Eric quit his job. In 2017, his Amazon business made $1.5 million utilizing the Amazing Selling Machine (ASM) course, which taught him how to become an Amazon seller and how to successfully run and grow his business. The story of Eric’s Amazon seller success–which has allowed him to pursue his philanthropic passions–was revealed as Amazon Publishing and Amazon Literary Partnership curate a selection of free ebooks to distribute to libraries in Africa through Worldreader’s e-reading series.

Amazon Publishing and Amazon Literary Partnership have announced they will partner with Worldreader’s e-reading series to create a selection of free ebooks for libraries throughout Africa. Amazon’s former Senior Vice President David Risher founded Worldreader.org in 2009 with the hopes of distributing digital books to provide everyone in the world the opportunity to become a reader. The selected ebooks could reach many thousands of readers throughout Africa. In the past, Amazon has donated thousands of Kindles to Worldreader and continues to promote customer donations through AmazonSmile.

Eric went from a touring musician to a single dad struggling to find his passion after he had his daughter. Knowing he needed a change, he dedicated himself to the Amazing Selling Machine course and his new Amazon business. Through the course, he learned how to start and grow an Amazon business from beginning to end. Three weeks after the launch of his first product, Eric quit his construction job. After much success on Amazon, Eric expanded his Amazon business team and hired two assistants to help maintain and grow his company. Hiring help gave Eric an increase in mental bandwidth and allowed him to pursue his true passion, philanthropy. Eric now has time to travel and speak at fundraisers for the charities most important to him. Apart from Eric, another successful ASM member recently gave their Amazing Selling Machine review to offer tips for selling on Amazon. The review can also be found on the blog at Amazing.com.

Founded by Jeff Bezos, Amazon began in 1994. Since its creation, Amazon has created different branches of business, such as Amazon Publishing and Amazon Literary Partnership—both of which help writers tell their stories and find their readers. Amazon’s four guiding principles are customer obsession rather than competitor focus, commitment to operational excellence, long-term thinking and passion for invention. Some of the products and services pioneered by Amazon include 1-Click shopping, Prime, Fulfillment by Amazon Fire TV, Alexa and Amazon Echo.

Amazing Selling Machine (ASM) is a training course provided by Amazing.com. Designed to help sellers launch their own Amazon business selling physical products on Amazon, the course consists of an 8-module online program. In addition to a step-by-step guide on how to build and sustain an Amazon business, the course provides tools and resources for those with no prior experience selling on Amazon. Amazing.com is also the host of SellerCon, a conference for Amazon Sellers. SellerCon will be held April 6 – 8 in Orlando, Florida.

Matt Clark and Jason Katzenback founded Amazing.com.
