UPDATE 1-FDIC in $190 mln settlement with banks over Countrywide debt

June 2 (Reuters) - The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp on Thursday announced a $190 million settlement with eight financial services firms it accused of misleading five U.S. banks into buying risky mortgage securities from the former Countrywide Financial Corp, contributing to the banks' failures.
