Cooperation is the Name of the Game for Gold Miners

The VanEck Vectors Gold Miners ETF ( GDX B+ ), the largest gold miners exchange traded fund, is up nearly 5% this year. Some of that gain is attributable to higher gold prices, but plenty of it can be tied to speculation pertaining to increased industry consolidation.
