Amazon Brings Prime Now to Dallas, Offering One-Hour Delivery of Daily Essentials

Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) today announced that Prime Now has expanded to Dallas. The ultra-fast delivery service offers one-hour delivery on tens of thousands of daily essentials through a mobile app.

“We know Dallas members are going to love the convenience of one-hour delivery through Prime Now,” said Dave Clark, Amazon’s senior vice president of worldwide operations. “Our existing operations in Dallas-area that utilize advanced technology to fulfill customer orders are now home to a Prime Now hub that is fueling this super-fast delivery.”

In 2013, Amazon opened two fulfillment centers in the Dallas area, creating more than 1,500 full-time jobs locally.

Prime Now is launching in select Dallas-area zip codes today and will expand rapidly to additional zip codes in Dallas and surrounding areas soon. All Prime members can download the Prime Now app, available on iOS and Android devices, and will be notified when the service is available in their local area. In Dallas, Prime Now is available from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week. Two-hour delivery is free and one-hour delivery is available for $7.99 in most zip codes.

Tens of millions of members around the world already enjoy Prime.
