Second quarter revenue and earnings fell for U.S. Silica Holdings Inc. (NYSE: SLCA) to 18 cents per diluted share from 53 cents per diluted share in the year ago period but the results were better than expected sending the stock price soaring $3.43 to closed at $25.11.
