In trading on Thursday, non-precious metals & non-metallic mining shares were relative leaders, up on the day by about 5.7%. Leading the group were shares of Freeport-McMoran Copper & Gold (FCX), up about 16.6% and shares of Carpenter Technology Corporation (CRS) up about 14.9% on the day.
