The FTC recently reported that Americans lost almost $575 million last year due to phone fraud.  And the problem is getting worse – this consumer protection agency has been inundated with more complaints than ever before, seeing a 110% increase in phone fraud cases in the past two years.

This is a problem across the nation, and Pennsylvania is no exception:

• Chester County residents have recently warned of multiple jury duty scams in their area.
• Delaware County residents have seen scammers pretending to be from the U.S. Treasury.
• Sea Isle City residents have been targeted by scammers purporting to be from the IRS and demanding money.
