Air-Way Releases Upgraded Plating for Hydraulic Fittings

New Electrodeposited Zinc Plating is available as standard plating, offering more than double resistance to white corrosion.

GRAND RAPIDS, MI, October 01, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Global hydraulic fittings manufacturer, Air-Way, recently released an upgraded plating for its steel hydraulic fittings. New Electrodeposited Zinc plating, which offers significantly higher corrosion resistance than its predecessor, is standard to all fittings, without impacting cost.

Under salt spray tests, Air-Way Manufacturing's old Zinc Trivalent plating was resistant to white corrosion for 96 hours, and to red corrosion for 240 hours. The new Electrodeposited Zinc plating withstands white corrosion for 240 hours, and red corrosion for 360 hours, amounting to 2.5 times and 1.5 times increases in performance.

To demonstrate their standard fittings' value engineering, Air-Way Manufacturing has illustrated the salt spray test results in an infographic.
