Wichita Entrepreneur Brandon Steven Plays in the 2015 Aces for Kids Fundraiser.

Wichita, KS - November 27, 2015 - (Newswire.com)

Brandon Steven says: deal him in. The Wichita auto dealer joined Antonio Esfandiari and other top poker players in the 9th Annual Aces for Kids event on Saturday, November 21st, at the Rock Road Genesis Health Clubs location in Wichita, KS. They played for a $20,000 cash prize for the first place winner, a $10,000 cash prize for the second place winner, and a Rolex watch for the third place winner.

The participation of Antonio Esfandiari is generating a lot of excitement. Esfandiari is the poker whiz known as “The Magician.” He’s the winner of two World Poker Tour championships and three World Series of Poker bracelets, including the “Big One for One Drop,” a million-dollar buy-in tournament he won in 2012. He was ranked number one for all-time tournament poker winnings for several years.

Brandon Steven, too, is a local Wichita and regional poker player to be reckoned with. The owner and co-owner of several Wichita area auto dealerships discovered his passion for the game in 2004, and has been playing competitively ever since. He says that the idea of a group of players all starting on an equal level, coupled with his innate ability to read people, and quick mathematical skills, poker was an instant attraction for him. He participated in a 14-hour tournament in Las Vegas in 2005 and placed second. His best showing to-date came in the 2010 World Series of Poker Main event. Over seven days of the tournament, playing for up to 15 hours each day and competing against thousands of the world’s best card players, he came in 10th or what is known as the bubble, just one spot away from a place at the final table.

But Brandon Steven is also a successful fundraiser who is committed to philanthropy, and on November 21st, that is what it was all about. The 9th Annual Aces for Kids event, sponsored by the Genesis Foundation for Fitness and Tennis, provides critical funding for a wide range of physical endeavors for young people who have shown the greatest need, and the strongest commitment. In this year alone, the Foundation has already awarded more than $30,000 to 40 kids.

Brandon Steven, Antonio Esfandiari and the other participants joined Wichita event join in a VIP meet-and-greet at 5:30PM, and started dealing the cards at 7PM. To keep up with Brandon Steven and his poker happenings follow him on Twitter @ICTMoxie.
