Kimberly G. Sims will be featured in the upcoming edition of the Women of Distinction Magazine in 2016.

FOUNTAIN, CO, February 13, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kimberly G. Sims, Owner/Operator of Kimberly's Trucking, LLC, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. Kimberly G. Sims will be featured in the upcoming edition of the Women of Distinction Magazine in 2016.

Becoming a truck driver in 1996 after a neighbor mentioned a friend of his who needed a driver, Kimberly G. Sims gave it a shot. All these years later, she is still working in the same field, although now she is the Owner/Operator of Kimberly's Trucking, LLC.

"I enjoy driving and never having anyone looking over my shoulder," Mrs. Sims said. "Just because I am a woman doesn't mean I can't do the job either. It also takes a lot of patience to do what I do with all of the people on the road."

Kimberly Trucking LLC offers paving and hauling aggregate for EEE Trucking. Overseeing almost every aspect of the business by herself, Mrs. Sims makes sure that her truck is always registered, insured, and maintained properly, because safety is number one.

Previously to opening her own trucking company, Mrs. Sims started out driving a school bus in Salinas, California in the 1980's and was a driver for their food service. After relocating to Colorado due to her husband being in the US Army, she began driving a school bus in 1993 for Fountain Ft. Carson Schools. She then began working as a material handler for a factory for approximately two years. By 1995, Mrs. Sims began driving a dump truck for Chiddicks before driving for Scalfri Trucking for nearly 10 years. She purchased her own truck from Scalfri him in 2006, which was when she decided to start her own business.

Mrs. Sims's husband has been by her side for support and encouragement every step of the way, serving as a true inspiration who always has her back. Married to Conrad Sims since December 27, 1980, they were high school sweethearts who now have three children and one grandchild.
