Michael Tornabe Logan Bus Company the Future of Public Transportation in America

Mr. Michael Tornabe explains the importance of national conversation and public-private cooperation in improving transport for future generations.

ALBANY, NY, May 26, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- "Thirty years from today, our public transport system will be utterly useless for the needs of Americans."

That loaded statement began the speech of Michael Tornabe, inventor and entrepreneur in New York, at a transportation participant summit held recently. Alluding to his previous statement, he expressed joy for the budding public conversations surrounding the subject as well as technological advancements that could improve the system.

"We need to move from recreating the past and concentrate on trends that are shaping the future, leveraging innovations such as auto-driving cars and infrastructural advancements to bring better systems to a blooming population," he said.

Noting that urban migration and climate change are already taxing the current system, Mr. Michael Tornabe stated that concentrating on and planning for transport needs decades away is a good effort towards permanently solving the crises currently being faced in America.

"In order to get to that future, we have to ask ourselves how we can use the information we have to improve traffic flow and transport efficiency in an environment that grows more crowded every year," Michael Tornabe continued.

He called on all in attendance to think hard about the future and their roles in it, whether they belong in the private sector, government or any other stakeholders interested in the subject. "A truly intelligent transport system can only be implemented with cooperation from every sector."

Private sector leaders, he noted, have a unique part to play, as do research leaders and universities - key players in the innovative process. Through cooperation, he thinks that the pace of technological innovation can be fast-tracked. "Government-private sector partnerships are the best way to build our future, improving mobility, safety and transportation efficiency," Michael Tornabe said in conclusion.
