Ms. Dodgen said she witnessed systemic and human errors as her mother was sent from the hospital to a rehab center to a skilled nursing facility and back to the hospital. She said a better exchange of information might have saved her mother's life. "Because of that personal experience, when I was introduced to the idea of a health care information exchange, I became passionate about the need to make that happen," she said.
Ms. Dodgen is experienced in creating significant performance improvements for organizations that are struggling with managing complex change in a rapidly shifting environment.
