Nokia Corp. (NYSE: NOK) confirmed that it was engaged in advanced discussions to merge with Alcatel-Lucent (NYSE: ALU). Shares of Nokia slipped 37 cents to $7.93 while Alcatel-Lucent stock rose 47 cents to $4.82.
