On April 30, 2007, Vista Gold Corp. (“Vista”) issued a press release announcing that the Securities and Exchange Commission has completed the review process with respect to the registration of Allied Nevada Gold Corp. common stock under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, and that  the previously announced arrangement involving Vista, Allied Nevada Gold Corp., and Carl and Janet Pescio, is expected to close on May 10, 2007.  The press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 and is attached hereto.
