Events.
On April 19,
2005 Genta Incorporated (“Genta”) issued a press release announcing that
preclinical data have shown that Genasense® (oblimersen sodium injection), the
Company's lead anticancer drug, may enhance the anti-tumor activity of gefitinib (Iressa®;
AstraZeneca PLC) in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The press release is attached
hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference.
