TELMEX ANNOUNCES A GENERAL AGREEMENT WITH ITS UNION, WHICH INCLUDES CHANGES IN THE PENSION PLAN FOR NEW EMPLOYEES



 

 Mexico City, May 11, 2009. Teléfonos de México, S.A.B. de C.V. (TELMEX) (BMV: TELMEX; NYSE: TMX; NASDAQ: TFONY; LATIBEX: XTMXL) announced today that TELMEX and its Union (Sindicato de Telefonistas de la República Mexicana) signed a General Agreement through which they are both committed to carry out joint tasks to improve the Company’s competitiveness, service quality, customer attention, training, and to adopt best practices in the job execution.  Also, in this agreement, the pension plan for new employees was amended and requires the retirement age to be 60 years for men and women and 35 years of service.
