Eventit shares findings of a recent study that supports their notion of maintaining a culture that encourages creativity and happiness.

Research by a well-known staffing company Robert Half and Happiness Works interviewed more than 12,000 Americans and Canadians who work in creative and marketing jobs, and a further a separate survey in which 400 American ad/marketing executives were asked to do a bit of the old free association by describing their companies in one word. The creative employees reported 'higher on the job satisfaction levels' versus people in admin and financial positions.

Eventit shares its top tips on how to foster an attractive, authentic company culture:

1. Add meaning to the job. Career satisfaction mainly is centred around providing a meaningful service. It is vital for leaders to communicate the importance of their role in the functionality of the workplace. Without this, it is easy to become bogged down in the small details.

2. Create a learning environment. By setting aside time to evaluate personal and professional goals, it becomes easier to motivate workforces. By investing in training, conference and allowing feedback to the rest of the team communicates a vested interest in their long-term career growth.

3. Be flexible. Flexibility demonstrates trust, the lack of micromanagement boosts morale in the workplace. If a business model suits, incentives including home working could be a fantastic tool.

4. Customize the workspace. Productivity can be improved by creating varying workspaces designed to accommodate specified tasks, for example, free from distraction zones and open areas for creative team duties.

5. Keep it real. Perks should not be used to cover up deeper issues. Address these immediately for the little incentives to pack a bigger punch.
