MOG Closes First Consumer Electronics Deal with Roku

MOG, the Web's best on-demand music listening service, announced that it has closed its first consumer electronics partnership agreement with Roku, Inc., maker of the popular and award-winning family of Roku streaming players. This summer, Roku customers will be able to access MOG unlimited artist-based radio and on-demand music catalog using their Roku players. For just $4.99 per month, Roku customers will have the ability to access more than 7.5 million songs on their Roku device with no restrictions on what they can hear or when they can hear it.

“Our goal, when we started MOG, was to deliver MOG everywhere people want to consume music,” said David Hyman, founder and CEO of MOG. “We started by bringing MOG to the PC in December, and then we introduced our mobile app. Now, via our partnership with Roku, the market leader in internet streaming media players, we’re bringing the best digital music experience to people’s living rooms. It’s your music service and we want it to be wherever you want it.”

Roku customers can subscribe to MOG for the base price of $4.99 per month. For $9.99 per month, Roku customers will be able to access MOG three ways: using their Roku player, through their PC and by downloading the mobile app, soon to be released, on their iPhone or Android phone.

“We knew from the beginning that the PC was going to be just one of many access points to our service, so we built MOG from the ground up to easily integrate with any platform,” Hyman continued. “We are focused on delivering our service to the places where people want to consume music and we can work with any platform.”

“MOG delivers a simple and rewarding way for people to access the music that they love. In the home entertainment category, it is important to give customers control without complexity and MOG has filled that need,” said Anthony Wood, founder and CEO of Roku, Inc. “We’re very pleased to be able to offer our customers yet another easy, high value way for them to enjoy their Roku player.”

By choosing Roku as its first launch partner in the home entertainment category, MOG joins major streaming services like Netflix (Nasdaq: NFLX), Amazon Video On Demand (Nasdaq: AMZN), MLB.TV, and the Ultimate Fighting Championship®.
