Citrix Latin America and Caribbean Opens Regional Headquarters in Coral Gables

Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:CTXS), the global leader in application delivery infrastructure, today announced the opening of its new Latin America and Caribbean headquarters in Coral Gables. This move is consistent with the companys regional strategy to better serve its customers and partners throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. The new facilities will house the Latin America and Caribbean executive team, call center team and operations as well as a number of other key functions.

Our decision to open the regional headquarters in Miami, separate from the global offices, is a natural step in the sequence of recent strategic moves in Latin America announced during 2006, said Fernando J. Campo, vice-president for Citrix Latin America and the Caribbean. Last year we dedicated more resources to the region and grew our channel infrastructure. Todays announcement reaffirms the potential we see in Latin America and the Caribbean and our commitment to be closer to our clients and key channel and alliance partners.

Under Campos leadership since 2002, Citrix Latin America has become the fastest growing region within the company with a 150 percent increase in sales. The companys leadership has been able to cater to Latin American companies needs by introducing new products and solutions such as Citrix Presentation Server, Citrix® NetScaler®, Citrix WANScaler, Citrix Access Gateway and Citrix EdgeSight. These solutions are helping businesses in the region to better manage their IT infrastructure and share information in a way that is suitable to their individual expansion needs. As a result, Latin American and Caribbean organizations are increasingly relying on Citrix, fueling its growth and success in the region.

According to a recent study conducted by IDC, employees work 22% of the time remotely in Latin America, working mainly from their customer sites. In order to be effective in the face of this reality, most companies are providing different mobile devices, as well as adopting new network applications. This has created new challenges for IT managers and business leaders in Latin America and the Caribbean, challenges such as the necessity to consolidate applications and control information.

Research like the one provided by IDC highlights the need for enterprises in the region to become more sophisticated and therefore demand more from their IT investments. As the creators of the application virtualization model, Citrix sees great value in establishing its Latin American headquarters closer to its customers, in order to help them overcome these new challenges and become more aggressive in the current competitive marketplace, said Mark Templeton, president and chief executive officer for Citrix.

Application virtualization, a technology created by Citrix, provides multi-user remote access to centralized business resources and allows companies of all sizes to implement changes in hardware, software and end-user location. This in turn reduces the cost, time and effort to keep up-to-date tools and information in the hands of IT users.

The new Latin America and Caribbean headquarters are located at 2525 Ponce de León Avenue in Coral Gables, Fla.
