Asia’s best and worst stock markets in the quarter

Southeast Asian bourses, such as those in Thailand and the Philippines, were among the best performing markets in the Asia-Pacific region in the July-September quarter, while Japanese stocks ended a tad lower, as the yen’s strength against the U.S. dollar hurt exporters.
