Apple shares slide nearly 5% in premarket trade

Shares of consumer electronics giant Apple Inc. are off nearly 5% in premarket trade as Wall Street returns from Monday’s holiday to the news that Chief Executive Officer Steve Jobs is taking a leave of absence.
