Mobility Independent Transportation Systems Corporation (MITS), a leading dealer of BraunAbiliity accessible wheelchair vans and lift systems, was recently recognized for outstanding sales performance at The Braun Corporation’s first national AbilitySummit conference. MITS was one of the leading sellers of BraunAbility wheelchair accessible vehicles within Braun’s Eastern region.

MITS has served Pennsylvania, Maryland and the Mid-Atlantic region for over 21 years. The dealership offers a wide variety of mobility equipment, from BraunAbility wheelchair accessible vans to scooters to assisted driving technology. All service technicians are factory-trained, and the facility offers 24-hour emergency assistance to its customers.

According to Scott Heatwole, MITS Regional Sales Manager, the dealership is focused on meeting all of its customers’ needs under one roof. “Our on-call service techs are constantly putting themselves in our customers’ shoes,” said Heatwole. “We have a standing policy that we treat our customers with as much concern and care as we would if a family member came in the door.”

As Heatwole explains, their customers do not have the luxury of using another form of accessible transportation if they experience a problem with their vehicle. The dealership also regularly supports a variety of disability-minded nonprofits, from local to national organizations.
