"I thought it would be a great idea to have like-minded entrepreneurs put talents and resources together and make our business dreams come true," said Ms. Tracy Allen, Founder of The EAT Group. "The EAT Group is taking the lead in showing small businesses ways to work together. One brilliant mind working alone is like a piece of string. Combine it with 10 others and it becomes like a rope that is difficult to break."
Initially, the EAT Group's mission was to simply gather local entrepreneurs once a week to share knowledge about blogging, taking action on phone calls together, practicing "elevator pitches", sharing tips on how to use social media, and other helpful tips. Each group member has their own business to provide services to the community such as insurance, real estate, gift baskets, event planning, genealogy, financial, travel, and youth inspiration. The group has since morphed into a serious undertaking, having its own office building and venturing into video and film production.
"We will be working on having a positive TV channel to broadcast good information that's happening in our community and around the world," announced Ms. Allen. "It has been a long journey to a prosperous entrepreneurship but, with the great people I have surrounding me, I am certain we'll be able to EAT well real soon!"
