US STOCKS-S&P 500 vaults 1,500 as Wall St extends rally

NEW YORK, Jan 25 (Reuters) - The Standard & Poor's 500 index closed above 1,500 for the first time in more than five years on Friday as strong U.S. earnings reports, including Procter & Gamble's, helped the benchmark extend its rally to eight days.
