Two USAA Mutual Funds Receive Lipper Awards

USAA Investment Management Company, which manages more than $54.9 billion in mutual fund assets and over $14.5 billion in managed accounts as of Dec. 31, 2012, announced that two of its mutual funds earned prestigious Lipper Fund Awards* in their respective categories for investment performance during 2012.

USAA mutual fund honorees include:

• The USAA Precious Metals and Minerals Fund (USAGX) ranked No. 1 out of 18 funds for the 10-year period in the Precious Metals Funds category for the ninth consecutive year. Portfolio Manager: Dan Denbow.
• The USAA Tax Exempt Short-Term Fund (USSTX) was the best of 26 funds and 23 funds for the three-year period and five-year periods respectively in the Short Municipal Debt Funds category. This was the second consecutive year USSTX has won for the five-year period. Portfolio Manager: Regina Shafer.
