Navigant Hires Former DOJ Healthcare Fraud Expert

Navigant (NYSE: NCI) announced today that Wendy Weiss, former Chief of the Civil Fraud Section of the U.S. Attorney’s Office, has joined the Los Angeles office as a Managing Director in the Healthcare and Life Sciences Disputes, Compliance and Investigations team. Weiss will work with clients in the healthcare industry to address their litigation, investigative and compliance challenges.

As Chief of the Civil Fraud Section for the United States Attorney’s Office (DOJ) for the Central District of California in Los Angeles, Weiss focused on the enforcement of Federal healthcare fraud and False Claims statutes. She also served as the Central District Office’s Civil Health Care Fraud Coordinator for eleven years. Within her new role, Weiss will utilize her regulatory knowledge and expertise detecting and reporting fraud to help clients within the healthcare landscape avoid and address compliance risks.
