Charmin Donates Toilet Paper to 50 Firehouses in 50 States in One-Day Donation

Today Charmin is donating nearly 50,000 rolls of toilet paper to firehouses in every state. Each firehouse will receive 960 rolls, which is a year supply of toilet paper for 20 firefighters.

As part of the Charmin Relief Project, which provides a better bathroom experience anytime, anywhere, Charmin asked consumers to share stories of firehouse bathrooms with sub-par conditions or in need of relief. Since firehouses often serve as a second home for many firefighters, Charmin wants to bring the comforts of home to these everyday heroes.

“We heard stories of firehouses across the country that could use a little help due to insufficient funds or other constraints,” said Scott Mautz, Regional Brand Director. “We want to help the brave men and women who put their behinds on the line day in and day out for others- America’s firefighters. Charmin is committed to giving people a more enjoyable bathroom experience – no matter where they are.”

“My firehouse is my home away from home and where my extended family lives in good times and bad,” said Chris Smith with the North Cumberland Fire Department in Rhode Island. “It is awesome to know that Charmin cares enough not only to think about us, but also to try and make us more comfortable. In really hard times, our firehouse serves to keep our tax payer family safe too, especially when they have lost their first home. Helping us helps them when they need it most.”

In addition to the donation, Charmin will select five firehouses across the nation that will receive a bathroom mini-makeover to transform homely to homey and pull in elements inspired from firefighters own homes. The Charmin Relief Project has a rich history of helping firehouses and since 2012, has donated more than 130,000 rolls of toilet paper including previous donations in Moonachie, New Jersey and Detroit, Michigan.
