OCH-ZIFF INVESTIGATION INITIATED BY FORMER LOUISIANA ATTORNEY GENERAL: Kahn Swick & Foti, LLC Investigates Och-Ziff Capital Management Group LLC Following Disclosure of Bribery Probes by SEC & Justice Department

Former Attorney General of Louisiana, Charles C. Foti, Jr., Esq. a partner at the law firm of Kahn Swick & Foti, LLC (“KSF”) announces that KSF has commenced an investigation into Och-Ziff Capital Management Group LLC (NYSE: OZM).

On March 18, 2014, Och-Ziff disclosed that, starting in 2011, it has received subpoenas from the SEC and requests for information from the Justice Department as part of their probes into possible violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and related anti-bribery laws concerning Och-Ziff’s relationship with the Libyan Investment Authority, the county’s sovereign wealth fund, and investments that Och-Ziff made “directly and indirectly” in a number of African companies. Och-Ziff stated that “the Company is unable to determine how the investigation will be resolved and what impact, if any, it will have. An adverse outcome could have a material effect on the Company’s consolidated financial statements.”

KSF’s investigation is focusing on whether Och-Ziff’s officers and/or directors breached their fiduciary duties to Och-Ziff’s shareholders or otherwise violated state or federal laws.
