DHS Selects Exelis to Provide Information Technology Services under EAGLE II Contract

A team led by Exelis (NYSE: XLS) has been selected by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as one of several prime contractors to provide critical information technology (IT) services to support the execution of its mission.

Under the Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions (EAGLE II) contract, the Exelis team will compete with other prime contract awardees for task orders on the IDIQ (indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity) contracts in Functional Category (FC) 1, Service Delivery on the Unrestricted Track. The EAGLE II contract is a cornerstone DHS strategic sourcing program, which will be used by procurement offices to meet the IT requirements across DHS agencies. These agencies include DHS Office of the Chief Information Officer; Customs and Border Protection; Immigration and Customs Enforcement; Transportation Security Administration; Coast Guard; Secret Service; Federal Emergency Management Agency; and Citizenship and Immigration Services.

The Exelis team includes more than 50 small business and three large companies. Together, the Exelis team is poised to deliver DHS the full life cycle of IT solutions and service delivery in the areas of integration, software design and development, and operations and maintenance support.
