RLI Announces Surety Leadership Promotions

RLI Corp. (NYSE: RLI) – RLI Corp. has announced three promotions within its Surety product group that will position the company for continued success. The following changes are effective immediately.

Greg Chilson Promoted to Vice President, Energy Surety

Greg Chilson, Assistant Vice President, Energy Surety, has been promoted to Vice President, Energy Surety. He will continue to oversee the RLI Energy Surety division.

Chilson joined RLI in 1999 as part of the Underwriters Indemnity acquisition. He has more than 25 years of insurance industry experience. Prior to joining Underwriters Indemnity in 1993, Chilson was Assistant Vice President, Financial Reporting, for American General. Chilson is a graduate of the University of Texas and is a CPA.

Bart Davis Promoted to Vice President, Contract Surety

Bart Davis, Assistant Vice President, Contract Surety, has been promoted to Vice President, Contract Surety. He will continue to oversee the RLI Contract Surety division.

Davis joined RLI in 1993 as a Surety Field Sales Executive. He has held several roles within the RLI Surety Group and was promoted to Assistant Vice President in 2000. In 2013, he was promoted to oversee the Contract Surety division. Davis has more than 27 years of insurance industry experience. Prior to joining RLI, Davis was a bond field representative for Ohio Casualty. Davis is a graduate of The Ohio State University and holds the Associate in Fidelity and Surety Bonding (AFSB) professional designation.

Martha Weissbaum Promoted to Vice President, Commercial Surety

Martha Weissbaum, Assistant Vice President, Commercial Surety, has been promoted to Vice President, Commercial Surety. She will continue to oversee the RLI Commercial Surety division.

Weissbaum joined RLI in 2001 as Director, Commercial Surety. She was promoted to Assistant Vice President in 2002. Weissbaum has more than 27 years of insurance industry experience. Prior to joining RLI, Weissbaum was Vice President, Commercial Surety, at Kemper. She earned her bachelor’s degree and MBA from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
