Macquarie Capital Strengthens Industry Coverage

Macquarie Capital, the corporate advisory and capital markets arm of Macquarie Group (“Macquarie”) (ASX:MQG; ADR:MQBKY), today announced the appointment of David Banmiller as a Managing Director in its U.S. Oil and Gas group, focusing primarily on exploration and production (E&P) clients. He will report to Mit Mehta, who heads Macquarie Capital’s U.S. Oil and Gas team based in Houston, Texas. The team provides financial advisory services, capital markets and principal investments to a range of companies operating in the oil and gas, energy and related services sectors.

Mr. Banmiller brings more than 17 years’ experience in the financial services industry and has worked on a significant number of domestic and international energy transactions with corporate clients, private companies and portfolio companies of financial sponsors within the oil and gas sector. He was most recently at KeyBanc Capital Markets, where he served as a senior member of KeyBanc’s U.S. Energy Practice focused on the E&P sector. Prior to Keybanc, Mr. Banmiller spent a number of years in the Global Energy Group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he focused on the Midstream, E&P and Oil Field Service (OFS) sectors.
