REG CFO Chad Stone Named Chair of Iowa Biodiesel Board

Renewable Energy Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:REGI) Chief Financial Officer Chad Stone will become the next chair of the Iowa Biodiesel Board, the Association announced today.

Stone, who has served on IBB’s nine member executive board of directors since 2010, will officially be named to the post Friday at the board’s annual meeting in Ankeny.

“I am grateful for this opportunity to lead the Iowa Biodiesel Board and excited to continue the outstanding advocacy efforts of Mark Cobb, our Board members and staff,” Stone said. “IBB has, and will continue to play an instrumental role in promoting the economic, energy security, and environmental benefits that biodiesel provides to Iowa and America.”

Stone joined REG as its Chief Financial Officer in August 2009. Prior to that, he spent more than 17 years in public accounting and consulting in various roles, including as a director at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Chicago and Cincinnati and as a manager at Arthur Andersen in Chicago.

Stone holds a MBA in finance from the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business and a BBA in accounting from the University of Iowa. Stone and his wife Julie live in Ames with their two sons.

REG is based in Ames and owns biodiesel refineries in Ralston, Newton, and Mason City, in addition to seven other active biorefineries in five states.
