First day of trading for Stresscompany on NASDAQ OMX First North

Stresscompany offers evidence-based self-help tools through the internet that can improve mental health problems where stress is often a key factor. Following its listing on NASDAQ OMX First North, the company’s first day of trading is October 2 and in connection with this the name of its service Stressklubben is being changed to Papilly in preparation for expansion in Sweden and internationally.

Stress-related lifestyle diseases cost the Swedish economy some SEK 70 bn annually, which means that there is extensive demand from corporations, the healthcare sector and individuals for innovative programs that can increase wellbeing and reduce costs. Alongside leading researchers at Karolinska Institutet and Stockholm University, Stresscompany has developed an online platform of self-help programs to meet this need. The aim is to offer evidence-based self-help programs to counter stress, sleep problems and low mood in the near future.

”We’ve already reached more than 5,000 members in the initial test phase in the Stressklubben forum, which gives us an indication of the potential inherent in the service when it goes live under the name of Papilly. The service is currently in beta testing and is scheduled to go live in 2015. We’re also seeking out collaboration partners that will enable us to reach important customer groups quickly, and we’ve already seen significant interest from leading private operators and businesses,” commented Stresscompany’s CEO Ulf Söderberg.

In addition to collaborating with private businesses, there is also substantial potential for working alongside the healthcare sector.

“The self-help programs are ideally suited to support the healthcare industry. The service has significant potential to become an important tool for assisting professionals in corporate healthcare, primary care, psychiatry and psychotherapy to help their clients move forward in life,” commented Anders Tengström, COO of Stresscompany and Associate Professor at Karolinska Institutet.

Management team with solid sector experience Stresscompany was founded as a result of a perceived need from the healthcare sector, and the company’s founder, Ulf Söderberg, was the driving force behind the privatization of the Swedish pharmacy monopoly and is the founder of listed nutraceuticals company Bringwell. The company’s Board of Directors combines research and industry expertise, and includes Anders Tengström of Karolinska Institutet, Anders Struknes who has 25 years’ experience of the healthcare sector and Anders Uddén, former CEO and Chairman of Permobil.

“The industry expertise, experience and contact network the people behind the company bring to the table will obviously be of significant benefit when we’re now entering a more expansive phase. At the same time, I’m convinced that the issues we’re addressing are something that everyone in today’s world can relate to, and we hope to be able to attract new shareholders that can contribute to moving the company forward,” commented Ulf Söderberg.

Swedish and international expansion in sight Through its listing on NASDAQ First North, Stresscompany can now step up the pace of its expansion and sharpen the focus on Papilly, the portal to the company’s services. Although some functionality is free of charge, full access is offered in connection with an advantageous membership in line with other web-based health services such as Viktklubben.se. The concept has been developed with an international customer base in mind from the start.

The IT platform has been designed with flexible functionality and scalability in order to adapt to international markets such as the Nordics and the US once the concept has achieved profitability in Sweden. We’ve already tied in high-profile individuals in research and business development in the US and UK, and the company also has well-established contacts with media houses to ensure local media agreements. This means that we’re able to focus on our vision of offering millions of people help in areas such as stress, depression, sleep problems and alcohol abuse.

Following its listing on NASDAQ OMX First North, the share will trade under the ticker symbol STRS and ISIN code SE0005849205. The company’s certified advisor is Eminova Fondkommission AB.
