The new Tide Professional Coldwater System includes four products – a near-neutral pH detergent, fabric softener, bleach and whiteness enhancer – that are formulated to work together to deliver clean, soft linens and towels to guests while using significantly less water at colder temperatures than traditional on-premise laundry systems. The advanced formula in the Tide Professional Coldwater System also uses unique enzymes that are specially designed for lower wash temperatures which help effectively break down stains without the need for higher water temperatures. The system’s near-neutral pH formula also protects fabric integrity to keep linens looking newer longer to help reduce linen replacement costs.

“While the significant cost savings that Tide Professional Coldwater can create will be the primary draw for many hospitality customers, the environmental benefits shouldn’t be ignored,” said Kevin Wenzel, associate brand director, Global P&G Professional. “Customers should expect the soft, white linens they’ve come to know from Tide, but with less water usage and lower energy needs, given the lower water temperatures required, that can help lower a facility's operating costs.”

  • Helps reduce the water used in a commercial washer by up to 40 percent2
  • Cuts washing machine gas and water costs by as much as half*
  • Reduces linen replacement costs by up to 15 percent3 with the near-neutral pH formula that Tide Professional, in combination with Tide Whiteness Enhancer, is traditionally known for

In the 2014 P&G Professional Cleaning Industry Insights Survey**, nearly nine in 10 (87 percent) of cleaning managers in the Hospitality/Lodging sector say that it is very or somewhat important to reduce laundry operating costs when it comes to laundry care.

“Hotel managers are always looking for ways to be more profitable and Tide Coldwater has helped us by saving money on our gas and water bill as well as whitening our linens so we do not have to replace them as often,” said Rafael G., hotel general manager, San Antonio.
