IT/Redux Announces First Office 2.0 Launch Pad

IT|Redux, New Rules for a New IT World, today announced the organization of a Launch Pad event to be hosted at the upcoming Office 2.0 Conference, which will take place in San Francisco on September 5-7, 2007. The event will feature companies and products that will be launched at the conference, as well as the participation of over 100 industry analysts, press representatives, and bloggers.

"The Office 2.0 Conference turned out to be a great event at which to announce our plans last year for the Techdirt Insight Community," said Mike Masnick, Techdirt CEO. "We met a ton of great people, who not only were interested in joining the community or tapping its knowledge, but also had a number of great discussions with people who had ideas for future plans for the service as well."

Last year, Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) picked the event to launch Google Docs & Spreadsheets, instantly bringing the concept for Office 2.0 to a mainstream audience. This year, the conference's organizers are expecting 20 to 30 companies and products to be formally launched during the event.

"The Office 2.0 Launch Pad will feature some of the most innovative products and services that are becoming available today," said Event Producer, Ismael Ghalimi. "The very best are being used to organize the conference itself, thereby creating instant use cases and success stories for them. This will help the Office 2.0 Conference set the agenda for the industry at large, in a truly participatory manner."

The Office 2.0 Conference is sponsored by Etelos, Fenwick & West, ThinkFree, WebEx Communications, BEA Systems (NASDAQ:BEAS), Caspio, Coghead, Google (NASDAQ:GOOG), Intalio, Jive Software, SAP (NASDAQ:SAP), Zoho, 3TERA, CentralDesktop, Cogenz, ConnectBeam, ContactOffice, Corel (NASDAQ:CREL), Diigo, EchoSign, EditGrid, Empressr, GlobalLogic, Huddle, Ikordo, iNetOffice, Jotlet, LongJump, Persony, ServePath, ShareMethods, SiteKreator, Smartsheet.com, Spresent, ThoughtFarmer, TIBCO Software (NASDAQ:TIBX), TimeBridge, Veodia, and Vyew.
