PRLog - Nov. 18, 2014 - JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Sterling Joyce invites you to join him at his annual birthday celebration fundraiser benefiting the Beaches Emergency Assistance Ministry (BEAM), a charity organization that helps Jacksonville area families with food and financial assistance during difficult times.
Sterling, a local legend and much loved maitre’d at the historic Casa Marina Hotel in Jacksonville Beach, has celebrated his birthday by coordinating fundraisers in support of charitable organizations like BEAM and Toys for Tots for the past 15 years, the last 10 at the iconic Casa Marina.
In keeping with Sterling’s tradition of party themes, this year’s theme celebrates the “Moulin Rouge,” the birthplace of the famous can-can dance in Belle Époque Paris that kicked off the cabaret culture that took Europe by storm. For those who don’t have a top hat or feather boa handy, semi-formal or formal attire is requested.
This year’s line-up of talent and activities isn’t to be missed; it includes the annual fashion show made possible by Sei Bella Image Consulting, which will feature the latest collections of Erin Healy, Alan Vincent, and Cathy’s Boutique. The band, Be Easy, will provide music outdoors in the Jardin de Casa, while DJ Milton McGee and jazz ensemble Pierre & Company, will keep you dancing or chilling indoors, depending on your mood. You can also nosh on delicious food courtesy of Miz Jackie and baked treats from Classic Cakes. Members of the U.S. Armed Forces will also be on hand to present the colors in appreciation of the sacrifices made by local servicemen and women.
Over the years, Sterling’s philanthropic drive has filled trucks with toys and cans of food for local charities to distribute. He’s asking all of you to come out to the Casa on December 10 and continue the tradition this year.
“I am so pleased that I can celebrate my birthday by helping others,” said Sterling. “It means a lot when you can help a family down on their luck, especially during the holidays. I want to thank all of the sponsors and the talented people involved with helping to make the party happen.”
