Tim Armstrong hosted AOL's global meeting today, a talk for all AOL employees around the world.
Two prominent AOL employees shared on Twitter what Armstrong said.
On his first day as CEO, Armstrong noticed something strange.
Armstrong said that when he first got into his new office he was crawling around on the floor looking for a power outlet.
That's when he noticed a button under his desk. Curious to see what it does, he pushed it. That's when company security guards came running "within minutes."
Armstrong asked the guards what the button was for, and they told him that the button is "in case the employees attacked" the CEO.
It was a panic button, basically.
After discovering the button, Armstrong said that he had it removed, and eventually moved to work on a desk on a floor with other employees.
